About the Event

We'll nominate a list of films, and attendees can vote for whichever film they want to see. This month's theme/list is in honor of Pride Month.

Call Me By Your Name: A coming-of-age story starring that young guy Timothee Chalamet and that cannibal Armie Hammer.

Beginners: Christopher Plummer exploring life as an openly gay man in his 70s--not a documentary.

The Watermelon Woman: A 1997 movie about a young black lesbian trying to make a documentary about a black actress from the 1930's... yep you guessed it. Not produced by the major studios.

Show Me Love: Awkward teen romance. A film all adolescents should watch, as opposed to the Robyn song, which all adolsecents should beat their parents for listening to.

Philadelphia: Tom Hanks going from "that guy from Bosom Buddies and Bachelor Party" to "that guy who can get nominated for an Oscar acting with a volleyball." Oh, and it's about discrimination in the workplace.

The Birdcage: South Beach hijinks featuring--don't blink--a young Ally McBeal.

Top Gun:  A love story.
